Is Nokia Bendit answer to IPad mini

Rumors are chiming in that Nokia is making a mini tablet size windows phone that will be released by Lumia 1020. This Nokia phone is said to have 6 inch display and full hd resolution. This resolution is no where to be found in windows phone.

Support for full HD resolution will be introduced in the windows phone 8.1 update, more popularly known as Amber update. This update is due in the month of December. If these rumors come out to be true, then it might cast a shadow on iPad mini sales that have been pretty rock solid so far. 

iPad 3 iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak

As you all know, Absinthe 2 has been released that allows users to perform untethered jailbreak on their iPad. This new tool also made jailbreak possible on the new iPad, which some people refer to as the iPad 3.

Folks at iPadnn have written a nice, comprehensive iPad 5.1.1 jailbreak guide for the normal user. Basically you install the Absinthe and connect your iPad. Press few buttons and voila, you are done.

Apple does have a more secure OS than Android, but that is merely due to the structure.  Apple has a large deal of control of the iOS and the devices that run it.  That also means that there is not much variety of what devices you can run iOS on (only iPhone and iPad) and you can only use apps that the company allows you to use.

Android is more vulnerable due to the fact that it is open source, however you are offered a lot more freedom in what phones you can run it on.  This level of variety has it's positives and negatives.  On one hand you can have a phone that is perfect to your liking, but on the other hand this causes fragmentation as you are dealing multiple different manufacturers and vendors that add bloatware and customization.  You also have the freedom to install apps from 3rd party sites if you want to take the risk.

I for one use Android and I love it.  I am tech savvy enough to know what apps to avoid and not send my bank info to a Nigerian Prince.  I think iOS is a great operating system,  I just can't stand the sub-par hardware and small screen of the iPhone (I am rocking the Galaxy Note, large screen, but still fits in my pocket), nor the price of the iPad ( I can get a name brand tablet with the same specs for a lower price).  I like the bank vault like security that Apple offers, I just don't want to be locked in that vault.  I enjoy my freedoms.  Oh that and Apple is a big fucking douche for all the bullshit lawsuits.

Kobo Vox Root

Kobo Vox is an Android tablet that is pretty popular in the ereader world. The device allows you to load your favorite picture, video, books and applications. Its 7 inch display packs 1024 x 600 pixels which is same as sported by most of the 10.1 inch mini laptops.

Transformer Prime video Review

A youtuber has posted a video review of the Asus Transformer Prime that sports the new Nvidia tegra 3 processor. In the video, you can see a demo of a game that runs much smoother than what it used to. This is due to the fact that it makes use of all four cores of the chip. The keyboard dock is also said to be thinner than the first generation Asus transformer.
